Eric Harrison

Eric Harrison, PLA, is Practice Leader of Civic and Landscape Architecture at ChenMoore, bringing more than 17 years of experience planning, designing, and delivering award-winning landscape architecture and civic space projects throughout Florida. He leads the firm’s Civic and Landscape Architecture practice, providing strategic leadership for parks, streetscapes, public spaces, educational campuses, mixed-use developments, healthcare facilities, and municipal infrastructure projects. As Principal Landscape Architect, Eric oversees multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction, ensuring projects successfully integrate aesthetics, sustainability, functionality, and community vision.

Eric is recognized for his expertise in parks and recreation planning, streetscape design, complete streets, urban design, landscape architecture, irrigation, low impact development (LID), and municipal landscape services. He has led the design of numerous passive and active parks, sports complexes, park master plans, downtown revitalization projects, and roadway enhancement programs throughout South Florida, including projects for the City of Pompano Beach, Downtown Coral Springs, the City of Miami Beach, Marathon, Margate, and numerous other municipalities. His experience also includes university campuses, K-12 schools, corporate campuses, healthcare facilities, trails, playgrounds, boating facilities, themed wayfinding, and public gathering spaces. In addition, Eric has served as an extension of municipal staff, performing development review, construction inspections, ordinance updates, and permitting support for several South Florida communities.

Eric is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect with extensive knowledge of Florida’s plant communities, environmental conditions, and site-specific design practices. His commitment to creating vibrant, resilient, and people-focused environments, combined with his collaborative leadership and technical expertise, continues to help ChenMoore deliver innovative civic spaces that enhance quality of life and strengthen communities throughout the region.
