Gregory Mendez

P.E.

Gregory Mendez, P.E., is Vice President of Performance at ChenMoore, bringing more than 25 years of experience leading complex utility infrastructure, transportation, and civil engineering projects throughout South Florida. He provides executive leadership for project delivery, overseeing multidisciplinary teams responsible for the planning, design, permitting, and construction of municipal infrastructure improvements for public agencies and private clients. Greg is recognized for his expertise in project management, utility coordination, value engineering, design-build delivery, schedule and budget management, and construction administration, consistently delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Greg’s technical expertise includes water and wastewater systems, septic-to-sewer conversions, stormwater management, roadway improvements, land development, and site civil engineering. He currently serves as Project Manager for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s Connect to Protect (C2P) Program, a major initiative focused on eliminating septic systems by connecting properties to the public sanitary sewer system throughout Miami-Dade County. His extensive experience also includes continuing services and capital improvement projects for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, North Miami Beach Utilities, Port Everglades, the City of Hallandale Beach, the City of Miami Beach, Bal Harbour Village, the Village of Bay Harbor Islands, airports, ports, and numerous municipalities across South Florida. His deep understanding of utility systems, permitting requirements, and fast-track project delivery enables him to successfully manage complex infrastructure programs from concept through construction.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Miami and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Florida Engineering Society (FES), the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers, and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. He is also a graduate of both the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute and Leadership Miami. His extensive municipal experience, collaborative leadership, and commitment to client service continue to strengthen ChenMoore’s reputation for delivering reliable, innovative infrastructure solutions throughout the region.
