Practice Leader, Transportation, Aviation
Heath Jenkins, P.E., is Practice Leader of Transportation and Aviation at ChenMoore, with over 20 years of experience planning, designing, and managing complex aviation and transportation infrastructure projects throughout the United States and internationally. He leads the firm’s Transportation and Aviation practice, overseeing multidisciplinary teams delivering airport, roadway, and multimodal infrastructure improvements for commercial airports, general aviation facilities, and public agencies. Mr. Jenkins serves as Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager for continuing service contracts and major capital improvement programs, providing strategic leadership from planning and design through construction administration.
Mr. Jenkins has extensive expertise in airport engineering, pavement design, FAA and ICAO standards, terminal and hangar development, airfield improvements, stormwater management, wayfinding, facility maintenance, and airport master planning. He has successfully managed projects utilizing traditional design-bid-build, design-build, and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery methods. Recognized for his expertise in airfield pavement design, he has led the design and construction of numerous runway, taxiway, and apron rehabilitation and expansion projects utilizing both asphalt and concrete pavement systems.
Mr. Jenkins is an active leader within the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), having served as President of the Pensacola Branch, Florida Section Secretary/Treasurer, Chair of the Student Activities Committee, and Florida Section President. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida. His combination of technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to professional excellence has made him a trusted advisor to aviation and transportation clients throughout the region.
