Safiya Brea, P.E., LEED AP, is Secretary and Senior Project Manager at ChenMoore, with over 20 years of experience managing and delivering complex municipal infrastructure and neighborhood improvement projects throughout South Florida. She serves as Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager for major public sector clients, leading multidisciplinary teams on roadway, drainage, water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure improvements. Ms. Brea has successfully managed projects ranging from small municipal assignments to multi-million-dollar capital improvement programs, providing leadership from planning and design through construction administration.

Ms. Brea’s technical expertise includes roadway and streetscape design, sidewalks, stormwater management, water and wastewater infrastructure, lift stations, booster stations, utility modeling, and neighborhood improvement programs. She has directed the design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Broward County UAZ 110/111 & 113 Water Sewer Improvements Program, and has extensive experience with construction management, hydraulic modeling, GIS and CAD applications, master planning, and regulatory coordination. Her collaborative approach and commitment to technical excellence have helped municipalities throughout South Florida successfully implement resilient and sustainable infrastructure improvements.

Ms. Brea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Engineering Management Corporation (FEMC) and is a graduate of Leadership Florida Connect Class VIII. Her leadership, technical expertise, and dedication to client service have made her a trusted advisor for municipal infrastructure programs across the region.
