Timothy Hogans, Jr.

Timothy Hogans is Vice President at ChenMoore, bringing more than 22 years of leadership experience in the energy, utility, and public affairs sectors. He supports the firm’s strategic growth initiatives by building and maintaining long-term relationships with municipalities, utilities, public agencies, elected officials, and industry organizations. His leadership focuses on strengthening client partnerships, fostering collaboration, and expanding opportunities across ChenMoore’s diverse service markets.

Prior to joining ChenMoore, Tim served as Project Director of Development for GridLiance, a NextEra Energy Transmission Company and one of North America’s leading competitive transmission companies. There, he managed relationships with municipal utilities and electric cooperatives throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic while coordinating with national organizations including the American Public Power Association (APPA) and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions with NextEra Energy and NextEra Energy Resources, where he completed executive rotations in Marketing & Communications and Regulatory &Political Affairs. During his 21-year tenure, he led initiatives in external affairs, customer service, engineering, power delivery, and business development, serving as Regional Manager for major governmental and commercial accounts across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, as well as Engineering Lead, Resource Lead, Production Lead, and Customer Project Manager.

Tim earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University and completed the Harvard Law School Negotiation and Leadership Program. His unique combination of engineering expertise, executive leadership, and extensive government and utility relationships enables him to successfully connect public and private sector stakeholders while advancing strategic initiatives that benefit clients, communities, and infrastructure programs.
