Brightline West Palm Beach Station

ChenMoore served as part of the project team for the Brightline West Palm Beach Station, providing civil engineering design, permitting, utility coordination, and construction administration services. The multimodal station supports Brightline’s passenger rail service between Miami and Orlando while enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in downtown West Palm Beach.

Brightline retained ChenMoore to provide design, permitting, and construction administration support for the West Palm Beach Station, an integral component of the Brightline passenger rail system. Located in downtown West Palm Beach between Evernia Street, Clematis Street, the Florida East Coast Railroad, and Rosemary Avenue, the station serves as an inline stop for high-speed passenger service connecting Miami and Orlando.

The approximately 5.6-acre project included development of a 121-space temporary parking lot, approximately 420 linear feet of new two-lane roadway with passenger drop-off areas and sidewalks, an 860-foot-long high-level passenger platform, and a three-level, 29,300-square-foot station building consisting of a lobby, mezzanine, and concourse.

ChenMoore provided civil engineering design and coordinated closely with utility providers and the overall project team to integrate site infrastructure with station facilities. Design services included paving, grading, drainage, water and sanitary sewer mains and service connections, pavement markings, signing, exfiltration trenches, and utility relocations and upgrades.

ChenMoore also supported project permitting and construction administration, coordinating approvals with the Palm Beach County Health Department, the City of West Palm Beach Engineering Services Department, and the South Florida Water Management District to facilitate successful project delivery.
