South Bermuda Parkway Reuse Interconnect

ChenMoore supported the Tohopekaliga Water Authority in advancing a regional reclaimed water interconnect between the South Bermuda and Parkway Water Reclamation Facilities through planning, design, permitting, and construction support for the Judge Farms Pipeline. The phased project expanded reclaimed water transmission capacity using a combination of open-cut and trenchless construction while coordinating numerous easements and utility crossings.

The Tohopekaliga Water Authority retained ChenMoore to support development of the Judge Farms Reclaimed Water Pipeline, a regional reclaimed water interconnect connecting the South Bermuda and Parkway Water Reclamation Facilities in Osceola County. Services began with a routing study evaluating approximately 40,000 linear feet of 20-inch to 24-inch reclaimed water transmission main and continued through phased design and construction support.

For the routing study, ChenMoore completed site investigations, route evaluations, conceptual engineering exhibits, constructability reviews, and an opinion of probable construction cost to identify the preferred transmission main alignment. The study established the foundation for phased implementation of the regional reclaimed water system.

Phase 1 included surveying, geotechnical engineering, design, permitting, and construction support for approximately 2,985 linear feet of 20-inch PVC reclaimed water main, 1,295 linear feet of 24-inch HDPE installed by horizontal directional drilling beneath US 192, and 15 linear feet of 12-inch PVC reclaimed water main. The project also required coordination of nine easements with Osceola County and one easement with a private property owner.

Phase 2 included design and construction support for approximately 1,700 linear feet of 20-inch PVC reclaimed water main, a 160-linear-foot jack-and-bore crossing beneath Bill Beck Boulevard within a 36-inch steel casing, and 2,215 linear feet of 24-inch HDPE installed by horizontal directional drilling beneath Florida’s Turnpike within a 42-inch HDPE casing. ChenMoore also coordinated multiple public and private easements while providing permitting and construction support throughout implementation.
