On Sunday, March 17, CMA Associate Engineers Sathvika Ramaji, EI and Carlos Tijerino volunteered at the ASCE 10th Annual Miami-Dade Engineering Encounters Bridge Design competition held at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair. This event challenges middle school division and high school division students to design a functional bridge utilizing design software that allows virtual testing and analysis of their design. Through this competition we hope to inspire young students to become interested in the engineering and STEM majors as they start applying for colleges and deciding their career fields. The first place winner of each division will have the opportunity to compete at the State level in Orlando, FL. CMA was one of the event sponsors.
