CMA Staff Volunteer in International Coastal Cleanup

CMA participated in the International Coastal Cleanup at El Pardo Park in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea on Saturday September 21st and collected 33 pounds of trash! This was our second year participating! Our volunteers were David Castro, P.E., Jessica Diaz, E.I., Charmaine Emanuels, E.I., Megan Schmidt, Derrick Smith, CFM, LEED AP, Jennifer Smith, P.E., Ruben Soto and Johanna Zona. The International Coastal Cleanup began more than 30 years ago, when communities rallied together with the common goal of collecting and documenting the trash littering their coastline. Volunteers from states and territories throughout the U.S. and more than 100 countries come together each year and participate in a Cleanup event near them. Thanks to CMA’s community service committee for organizing the event. For more information, please visit https://oceanconservancy.org/trash-free-seas/international-coastal-cleanup/volunteer/
