All Aboard Florida Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station Topping Off Party

Jose Acosta, P.E., Marcus Austin, GC, LEED AP and Patrick Kaimrajh, P.E. joined others at the Topping Off Party on Friday for the All Aboard Florida Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station project which is nearing completion. The celebration was designated for September 16 since the final structural components of the building are now complete. The ﾑIconic Vﾒ was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in association with Zyscovich Architects. These V-shaped concrete columns will pop up early next year at the sites of the All Aboard Florida passenger train stations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, where the 50-foot-tall columns eventually will become glowing downtown landmarks. CMA is providing civil engineering and construction administration services. The project is located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and is one Inline Station for the overall Brightline Rail Project, which proposes passenger rail service from Miami to Orlando, anticipated to open in the Tri-County area in 2017.
