


CMA Staff Attended the Miami Dade County DTPW Event
CMA staff members Jose L. Acosta, P.E., F.ASCE, Shahin Hekmat, P.E., Patrick Kaimrajh, P.E., Ben Lehr, P.E., DBIA, LEED AP, Gregory Mendez, P.E. and Yulet Miguel, P.E. attended the Miami Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) Industry Forum today. The event was held at the Port Miami Terminal E in Miami.
The DTPW’s multi-billion-dollar Capital Improvement Program was presented and the focus was to engage industry partners, including architects, planners, engineers, and contractors that can assist the Department in executing a wide spectrum of transit, roadway, and other transportation projects. Habitat for Humanity of Broward
CMA staff members Dominique Bethel; David Castro, P.E.; Jazmin Cruz; Ruben Soto; and Craig Wallander, E.I. participated in a Habitat for Humanity of Broward event on October 29 at Rick Case Habitat Community. The team assisted with cutting wood and installing wall furring. CMA staff members Cris Betancourt, PLA, AICP and Eric Harrison, PLA attended the American Society of Landscape Architect’s Conference on Landscape Architecture November 11-14. Laura Vogel, PhD., P.E., ENV SP and Jose L. Acosta, P.E., F.ASCE attended the FWEA South Chapter Meeting on November 3 at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Miami. CMA staff members Freeman Bass, P.E. and Thomas Gardner, P.E. attended the Florida Municipal Electric Association’s Energy Connections Conference & Trade Show on November 2 and 3 in Orlando. CMA Staff Volunteer at Rohi’s Readery
CMA Associate Engineer Nick Musick, E.I. and Project Engineer Justin Tagle, P.E., LEED AP volunteered at Rohi’s Readery on October 21 and taught kids about Chemistry using colors! Rohi’s Readery, located in downtown West Palm Beach, serves to provide accessibility to all through the love of critical literacy, the talents and gifts of the community, and educational programming.
