Chen Moore team members Joel Brownsey (co-captain), Teresa Lewis (co-captain), Jennifer Smith, Dan Dombrowski, Derrick Smith, Patrick Kaimrajh, Carlos Tijerino, Natalie Mecklenburg, Jason McClair and Charmaine Emanuels participated in the 28th Annual Island City Canoe Race in Wilton Manors on May 18. Teams competed in a 7-mile relay race around the Island City with exchange points throughout the Middle River. The race started at Colohatchee Boat Ramp and finished at Richardson Historic Park where participants were greeted with lunch and a trophy ceremony.
