Gregory Mendez, P.E. Completes Leadership Miami Community Project

CMA Principal Engineer- Miami Office Leader Gregory Mendez, P.E. recently completed his Team’s Leadership Miami® (LM) class community project. LM offers participants the opportunity to share an intensive learning experience that focuses on community issues and leadership skills through a planned process of lectures, seminars, small group discussions, and leadership curriculum developed in partnership with local universities. Greg was integral in the fundraising for and renovation of a shared play space for His House Foster Care facility in Miami-Gardens. The renovations included a new play set, new asphalt for the bicycle loop, a new outdoor patio area with new picnic tables and bistro lighting, a new sandbox, a new basketball court, a 14’ outdoor movie screen and projector, play equipment, and much more. This new play area will provide hundreds of neglected, abandoned, and abused children an opportunity to recreate and experience happiness, some for the first time in their young lives. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Lavine Cava. Congratulations! https://www.miamichamber.com/committees/leadership-programs/leadership-miami
